This takes place on a small, circular island, which is maybe ten miles across. Most of it is made up of a rainforest, and two small mountains rise up in the middle of the island. There are several small streams in the rainforest, and if you follow the right one, you'll find a lake and a hidden waterfall on the side of one of the mountains.

Layla leaned against a tree at the edge of the beach, right where the rainforest ended and the white sand began. She gazed across the sand to the sparkling blue ocean, a slight furrow in her dark gold brows. "You all right there, sister?" Ryan asked, striding over to her and crouching next to her. In his hand he held a long, sturdy branch, and he was using his pocket knife to carve a point into the end of it. "I'm fine," Layla lied, sitting forward and eyeing the thing in his hand with curiosity in her bright green eyes. "Is that a spear?" "Yes. Old fashioned, isn't it?" Ryan replied, grinning. "Useful though," she pointed out. "If only we had a couple more pocket knives...." "If only we had technology," he corrected, still wearing that goofy grin. "But we'll survive."

Echo sat by the shore, looking across the water. She sighed and ran a hand through her hair. If only she hadn't gone on that plane. Her and her brother wouldn't be in this situation. She heard footsteps and saw a slight glimpse beside her. Turning, she saw her brother, who was looking at her. "Don't worry about it, sis, we'll be fine," Linkin said with a wink. "You better be right or I'll kick you in the afterlife." Linkin chuckled. "I'll kick you back."

"You guys interested in scavenging some food?" Ryan and Layla approached the other pair, Ryan with an adventurous gleam in his eye. He grinned at them, gesturing toward the trees. "Layla suggested we look for fruit. Maybe they have bananas or something here." Layla blushed slightly when he said her name; her gaze flicked to Linkin and then, almost against her will, to Echo before landing back on the ground as her blush deepened.

Echo looked up and shrugged. "I don't see why not." She stood up and smiled at the pair, moving her hair out of her face. Linkin resisted the urge to blush at the other two. He had to admit; they were both kind of cute. "Okay," he managed to say.

(Lol, Layla's thinking the same thing as Linkin)
Layla cleared her throat, forcing her blush away, but she still couldn't look up at them. "I saw a stream when I was scouting yesterday," she informed them. "I-it wasn't very far in, but I imagine if we start there and work our way down we can find some... um... something to eat." "I'll bring my spear, in case we find a deer or something that we can eat," Ryan suggested, still wearing that benevolent smile.

(And their names both start with "L"...how ironic! Lol) Linkin shrugged and looked over at his sister who barely smiled. "Sounds like a plan," he said. Echo just nodded and waited for Layla to lead the way.

(lol. )
Layla smiled slightly, a small, rather shy one, and she turned and started walking toward the trees. Ryan strode along beside her, looking oddly comfortable despite their current predicament. She shot him a teasingly exasperated glance at his exaggerated stride, and he winked at her, grinning. She just shook her head and continued walking until they came in sight of a rushing stream. "See anything edible?" Ryan asked, glancing around.

A small figure strode behind them, her black her blowing behind her in the wind. Her tanned skin was glowing in the sunlight of early morning. Her small dress was slightly wrinkled but dry. Her steps never faltered; she was wearing wedges. Alison smiled as she looked at Ryan. She then glanced around and saw a bush speckled with red. "I think those are raspberries," She commented, walking over to get a better look. Ali flipped her curly hair over her shoulder as she bent down and examined the berry. It was definitely a raspberry.

Echo, not afraid to do much considering who she hung out with, shook her head. "I'll go in if you want," she said, taking out her pigtails and flipping her head down to put her hair into a high ponytail. She then rolled up her pants.

(Geez, conny, you keep doing that annoying thing with the dialogue xP Look, I'll go in and edit your post and highlight/bold the thing that you keep messing up so you can keep an eye on it later...)
"You sure? 'Cause any mistake could kill us," Ryan warned cheerfully, striding over to Alison to examine the bush as well. "W-well, I think she's right," Layla stated, walking over to her brother's side and blushing slightly when Ryan glanced back at her. She was a natural introvert, so she had a bit of trouble speaking her mind, especially when she was surrounded by more than a person or two.

Echo shrugged. "Nothing like I've experienced before," she said, taking off her socks and shoes. Carefully, she headed into the stream and stepped onto two small rocks. Linkin looked over at Ali for a second before turning to the others. He scratched the back of his head as he watched his sister.

(What do I keep doing??? I didn't see it highlighted.)
Alison looked over at Ryan for a moment, then back at the berry. "Well, I'm willing to risk it," She told them. Ali pulled one of the berries and wiped it with her thumb. She bit off half of it and looked at them. "It's a raspberry!"

(You keep capitalizing she after a quotation mark. For example: "I like pie," She said. You keep it lowercase) Echo looked across and felt the water rushing against her feet. She didn't see anything swimming, so she carefully jumped out. "Didn't see anything here."

(Whoops, sorry, I completely forgot to highlight it xP. But Alice is right, I highlighted the thing on your last post.)
"Good. We should collect those and carry them back to... er... the beach? We have to build a shelter or something soon." Ryan sighed, shaking his head. "Does anybody have a Ziploc bag or something in their carry-on pack? We could put them in those." "No fish or anything?" Layla asked Echo, still flushing a bit but hoping that could be attributed to the heat. Her brows furrowed in faint disappointment, but she didn't voice that aloud. No need to disturb these people any more than they already were. The freakfest that had occured yesterday when everyone realized what had happened had been enough for all of them.
