Raine sighed and buckled her seat beats.
"It's good that I've got powers that I don't really like to show anyone except when I'm fighting. I can be the teacher's pet." Raine said with a smile. "But honestly, you guys, you need to take a chill pill and relax. Your energies affect others, you know."

(I wouldn't have used 'deadpan' in that way... I don't think you really understand what it means)
Tanya rolled her eyes.
"Don't be a smart aleck, you know what I meant about the magic thing." She sighed inwardly. Well done, Tanya. You've been in control of these guys for four hours, and already they're getting under your skin. Ah, I'm not cut out for this. It was with no small amount of relief that she unbuckled her seat belt and shot to her feet when the plane finally landed. When she started down the ramp leading outside, she was unsurprised to see Alex already standing on the pavement, waiting for the rest of them.

(I get it. Not the best choice of words. But I did mean for him to say in a joking way, I suppose he should have used it sarcastically)
Ben stood up with his normal colored skin, and exited the plane. He blew a kiss to it on the way out. He stepped out on to the runway and walked towards Tanya.
Allyce followed Ben out, taking a deep breath in as the sun beamed down on her. Her skin darkened a bit, unnoticeable in the bright light.

Felicia was the last to join them. Tanya began to speak again as soon as the technopath was within earshot.
"So S.H.I.E.L.D. has a penthouse apartment in one of those buildings-" she gestured to the nearby NYC skyline- "that has enough rooms and space for all of us. We will stay there while we are in New York. Some of you are going to go straight to the penthouse, while a few others will come with me to pick up this Parker kid." She paused here to eye her group and count them silently. "Raine, Allyce, Linkin, you're coming with me. Felicia will take the rest of you to the apartment; she is your leader until I return, and I expect you to obey her within reason. Any questions?"

Ben glanced around, stopping at Tanya. He simply replied with a "No," and walked over to Felicia.
Allyce stood for a moment, slightly surprised she had been picked. But whatever. She walked over to Tanya, quietly asking, "Is this the sort of pick- up as in quitely driving in a simple silver nissan that blends in with everything, and stopping by his house, then honking the car horn shouting, come out here? Or is it the break in though high tech security systems that everyone seems to fail at, then get caught and either end up locked away with him somewhere or be taken to him and then laughed at? Or am I wrong with both of my assumptions?"

Tanya lifted an eyebrow, although she couldn't disguise an amused smirk.
"Closer to the first. He doesn't officially know that we're coming, though, so it might be a bit of a shock for him." Chuckling to herself, she gestured for her small group to follow her to an SUV that had just pulled up, along with a limousine. "We get the SUV, the others need the limo 'cause it's bigger," she explained apologetically to those who were following her, and she slid into the passenger seat of the SUV.
"Alright then, guys." Felicia shot a somewhat nervous grin at her own group. "Come on, we get the limo!" She led them over to the sleek black car and slid inside it.

"ERMAGERD, we get the limo," Ben said with a grin on his face. He followed Felicia to the limo, and climbed in, taking a seat in the back.
Allyce looked at Tanya for a moment, then climbed into the SUV, taking a seat in the back.

Linkin nodded and climbed into the SUV, sitting slightly close to Allyce, though, leaving some space between them.
Eden rolled her eyes at Ben before getting into the limo.

"ERMAGERD?" Felicia asked, glancing over at Ben and lifting an eyebrow, but she couldn't hide an amused smirk. She sat near the middle of the limo, where she could keep an eye on all the others but still be a part of their interactions. She wasn't like Tanya; she didn't want to set herself apart from the others just because she'd been given a leadership position, and only a temporary one at that.
As soon as everyone was seated in the SUV, Tanya gestured to their driver- a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent- to start moving. The driver nodded and drove out onto the road and toward the main part of New York City. As they finally entered the busier, more crowded sections of the town, Tanya eyed the looming buildings with an unimpressed air. She saw this sort of thing all the time in Chicago, although here the skyscrapers and business buildings seemed to crowd closer together and loom over them even more. She was pleased, then, when they entered another subsection of the city that was definitely less crowded.[/sub][/color]
