So there are many words and phrases that bother me when people misuse them. Here is a place where good grammar is guaranteed and corrections will be made!
1. Rogue vs. Rouge Many of you guys have read the Warriors series and, subsequently, participated in a Clan roleplay. In that case, you know what a 'rogue' is. Unfortunately, too many people spell 'rogue' with the u before the g, so it becomes 'rouge'. Rouge is a kind of make-up, guys. Women put it on their faces. Your cat is not a cosmetic. Spell it right.
2. Could/Should/Would Of vs. Could/Should/Would Have Okay, seriously? It's 'could have,' not 'could of.' Unless you have a really heavy accent. And online, we don't have heavy accents. This one gives me the shivers just typing it....
3. It's vs. Its It's is a contraction, meaning 'it is', such as "It's fun to use correct grammar!" Its, without an apostrophe, is a possessive pronoun, meaning that the next word in the sentence belongs to 'it', whatever 'it' is the Hokey Pokey. Such as: "The lake was calm and quiet. Its serenity disgusted Riddle." This is arguably the most common grammar mistake I see, and one of the most annoying (right up there under number 2).
There will be more to come later, and I will point them out as I spot them!
*Note: No offense intended. I don't mean to diss your roleplaying style.

Most people don't intend to make mistakes, they just don't proofread. Read what you have typed and fix any mistakes you see! Then read it one last time to make sure you didn't miss anything. Remember: The first time, you didn't know. The second time, it is a mistake. But the THIRD time, is stupidity. If you keep messing something up, go work on it!
