You walk into a crowded pub and hesitate in the doorway. Your gaze cuts across the room full of rowdy men and lascivious women until you finally spot a small, round table in the back of the room. You can see two people seated there, but they don't appear to see you; they are busy talking to each other- or maybe arguing is a better word. However, you know instantly that they are the ones you were looking for, and you make your way through the crowd over to them. A girl with long, chestnut brown hair turns to face you. Seated beside her is a boy with short, sandy blonde hair. They have the same intense, dark brown eyes and high-cheekboned facial features. Hell, even their calculating expressions matched. They appeared to be around twenty years old.
For pirates, they seemed oddly regal.
"So you found us." A smirk flashed across the girl's features as she spoke, gesturing for you to sit down. "Congratulations."
"We sail tomorrow at dawn. We expect you to be there at three tolls of the clock to help us prepare the ship to leave. Here is your advance payment, as you requested," the boy adds, nudging a small sack of coins toward you. You glance around warily before you take the coins and slip them into your pocket. The boy continues, "I am Alexander and this is Alice- that's Captain, to you," he reminds you with a stern expression. "Both of us. We sail on the Normandy, which is the newest, fastest ship in the royal fleet."
"You might want to bring a sword and a gun," the girl, Alice, interrupts with her previous smirk flashing once more. "You can leave, now. Just be there at the time indicated and don't tell anyone of our plans." You rise to your feet and hesitate. The twins- for that's what they obviously are- both lift an eyebrow.
"Yes?" they ask simultaneously.
"Where are we going?" you want to know. Alice smiles mischievously.
"America," she answers. "Now go." Her hand is now resting on the hilt of a sword you see poking out of her leather jacket. You turn and hasten toward the exit.
